Project Description
The Lothrop Procedure is an advanced FESS procedure used to treat stubborn sinus infections and in certain cases where there is a severe frontal sinusitis.
Paranasal sinuses are a group of four paired air-filled spaces that surround the nasal cavity (maxillary sinuses), above the eyes (frontal sinuses), between the eyes (ethmoid sinuses), and behind the ethmoids (sphenoid sinuses). The sinuses are named after the facial bones in which they are located.
Lothrop Recovery
Once disease is cleared the opening will now provide air circulation, clear drainage and prevention of sinusitis. Most importantly open sinuses will allow better penetration of salt water and nasal sprays.
The vast majority of patients are extremely satisfied with frontal sinus procedure.
